Client Closets- To do, or not to do?
Hey ReaderIn the photography world, there is so much left up to each business owner’s discretion- which is something I love so much about this business. Each business is just a little bit different and holds different values than the other. Something that’s been a hot topic as of late is Client Closets- whether to offer one or not.
>>What is a client closet?A client closet is a collection of curated items that you have for your clients to borrow during their sessions. They’re tried & true pieces that align with your photography style & vibe, available in multiple sizes that photograph well. Your closet is a great alternative for clients who are not confident in styling themselves and is a great way to add value to your services. >>Who is a client closet for?Maternity, family, lifestyle, branding and basically any kind of photography you offer. Whatever fits your niche can be offered a client closet. I’ve toyed with the idea of offering client closets over the year, but overall, it isn’t the best model for MY business. Maybe someday, when I have a dedicated space and less than 500 boxes to unpack. Maybe. But I only came to that conclusion after doing extensive research on how to properly manage a client closet.
