We're halfway through August?

Reader I just want to congratulate you-

You've made it this far.

If your life is anything like mine it's been: full, chaotic, overwhelming, exciting, energizing, and overwhelmingly blessed.

We've been moving since March. We finally have everything under one roof- but not everything has a place yet. We've still got 2 trailers in the driveway to be unpacked and an entire garage full of boxes. I'm ready to throw them all to the road because hey, we've made it two months without those things- we can obviously go a lifetime without them. Plus I miss parking in the garage...really bad.

As summer is winding down and my anxiety for attending all of my stepson's school events this fall ramps up, I am reminded of how blessed I am to be able to have the talents to run my own business.

I am so thankful to be drawn to photography and, while I know I'm not the best out there, it brings me great joy and fuels my creativity juices to keep me going. I'm so thankful for the gift of administration and being able to combine my skills with my passion and work 1 on 1 with women just like you- running their own businesses, juggling all the tasks and being able to take some of the heaviness off of their plate.

If you're like me, you probably get overwhelmed and think about throwing in the towel at least once a week- if not every day. But when your recurring clients pays their invoice or sends you a note of gratitude, it refills and overflows your cup enough to remind you to just keep going.

So today, I want to remind you that you're a badass for going at it on your own.
For breaking the norm and doing things your way.
For following your passion and pursuing your dreams.
Keep being a dreamer, Reader. We need more of it.

I've started toying with the idea of hosting monthly coworking meetings- a virtual meeting where anyone who wants to join can hop on the call and work alongside other photographers. You can talk and ask questions, get advice from one another or just have someone in your corner with you. If that sounds interesting to you, will you vote below?
